Mayawell
This project consisted of the renovation and addition to one of Birmingham’s classic downtown buildings. Originally constructed in the early 1900s, the small brick building was most recently used as a Land Rover dealership. Owner Neill Crook wanted to convert the space into an authentic Mexican themed tequila bar. Our scope of work included interior demolition and buildout, as well as an addition to the existing building. The addition includes restrooms, office and janitorial spaces, and a rooftop patio. Custom front and back bars were constructed using reclaimed wood. The color palette incorporates the boldness and flare of Central Mexico, while the authentic menu offers patrons a unique watering hole experience.
