IRS Buildout

This project consisted of the demolition and interior buildout of three floors within the Plaza Building in downtown Birmingham. Our scope of work included new office, meeting and classified/sensitive information spaces for the Internal Revenue Service. The 20-story building remained occupied and fully functional throughout construction. We worked closely with the tenants, owner, subcontractors, and vendors to schedule deliveries and work and minimize any environmental impacts. Deliveries were scheduled in multi-hour blocks of time, and we implemented the use of cranes to get the needed materials to the floors under construction.
