Frothy Monkey

The Frothy Monkey “all-day café” occupies portions of the former Homewood Antiques in Edgewood Corner, and is the second Birmingham location for the Nashville, TN based franchise. The restaurant includes a full-service kitchen as well as indoor/outdoor seating and large bar area for coffee, cocktails, and dining. Our scope of work includes a full interior buildout of the space, a large kitchen with custom walk in cooler, a custom bar with seating, as well as new restrooms and premium finishes. Unique challenges included low overhead clearance in the kitchen area. We overcame these obstacles with creative strategies and delivered a fully functioning kitchen while maintaining code required ceiling heights and maximizing comfort for future kitchen operators. We also created outdoor patios by maintaining the existing roof footprint and bumping in exterior walls. We salvaged portions of the existing exterior walls to frame the new patio space.
