We were thrilled to once again work with local entrepreneur Tom Saab and the owners and management of Bistro 218 and Bocca Ristorante on their newest venture, Sloan’s. Our scope of work consisted of a complete renovation of the existing brick building located at 2308 2nd Avenue North. The original structure was built in 1932 as Sloan’s Liniment. The 1,761 SF of updated space now houses a custom bar and countertops, a dining area, a fully equipped cold kitchen, new restrooms, and an outdoor patio and bar. A second floor also provides the option for future fit-out. The centerpiece of the project is the custom bar and shelving built to showcase Sloan’s expansive bottle collection. The piece was designed onsite in partnership with the owner, enabling us to deliver a product that remained true to the client’s original vision. Richly painted walls, dark wood, leather seating, and ornate light fixtures are inspired by the owner’s vision of an Old Brunswick aesthetic. The result is a refined, welcoming atmosphere where guests can mingle and enjoy a unique curated bourbon experience complemented by expertly crafted pairing bites and infused with a touch of Southern charm.
